Each student will receive their own set of headphones to listen to learning apps at their independent level. These apps help close the gap while supporting and building their phonics and vocabulary skills necessary to become proficient readers. The decodable chapter books will provide a successful reading experience while helping students fill in their language and fluency gaps. Students will strengthen their phonics and language skills, increase reading fluency, and build vocabulary while reading engaging decodable chapter books. Having a strong phonics background is the foundation needed to become a strong reader. Students will be challenged to read chapter books that are fully decodable, yet engaging.
