There is such a need for age-appropriate non-fiction reading materials that promote critical thinking through careful reading, attentive listening, thoughtful speaking and purposeful writing. Each week Time for Kids Magazine will provide high quality informational text with colorful images that explains the world and excites the reader to learn more about a current event. Using Time for Kids magazine, students will purposefully read with greater comprehension, develop opinions about a text, support ideas with evidence from the text, and develop social and emotional intelligence through respectful dialogue. Also, the subscription will come with multi-leveled articles and paired text for students to extend their learning on a specific topic. Lastly, we will receive instructional materials that are aligned to our state standards for lesson extension. It's a great TIME to be a ravenous reader.
