For this project, I am requesting one iPad and case to help me provide intervention services to the kiddos I work with. We specifically work on reading and math and using an iPad would allow for the students to engage in material they would otherwise not have access to.
Through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), we have shown that students are and do respond to interventions that are consistently delivered and use a variety of touch points to show the efficacy of the intervention. For example, several of our students are still learning their letters and their corresponding sounds. Instead of just using rote memorization, we incorporate multimedia platforms including songs, dancing and playing games.
