I would love to provide activities that would help my students learn different emotions as they struggle in identifying and expressing emotions in certain situations. They also have difficulty understanding other people's facial expressions.
Manipulatives such as Build Me Emotions and Feelings Emotions dough mats promote a better understanding of how facial parts such as the eyebrows and mouth depict certain feelings. I will use the books for my read aloud and create activities aligned with the topic. As the school year opens with blended learning instruction, interactive activities from Teachers Pay Teachers can help my students generalize the skills across the different environments - school and home.
