My students have these old, cracked, out of shape, wobbly desks that have been at the school for years before I started teaching in 2003. These small bodies have to be sitting and working at these desks for over 6 hours every day. These kids deserve working desks that help them feel good about the work they do every day.
If my students had these awesome new desks, they could focus more on their work, rather than if they got a bad desk. They would feel comfortable, have a place to put their materials, be able to sit in groups or by themselves and have a proper space to do their work.
