By replacing my students chairs with wobbly stools, students will have a better outlet for energy. My school has old chairs, that are cracked, and the feet are constantly breaking. Students are constantly tipping in their chairs, and this just breaks our chairs even more than they already are. I started my year with extra chairs, but am down strictly to the 20 I need.
It has been proven that when children have the ability to wiggle and move while they work, they behave better, and the learn more. Students will have this ability with the wobbly stools, they will also be able to take them to their centers with them and hopefully this will increase productivity, while letting them just be kids!
