Why flexible seating? Flexible seating allows students to move during lessons, where they have to work in groups. This type of seating also allows students movement to keep them focused and can also help them build core strength. We are eliminating the bulk of desks and creating more room in the classroom.
Students will use yoga mats and various types of floor seats in my classroom to help them engage in learning at school. Each student will have 1/2 of a yoga mat, a caddy and a lap desk. When students enter the classroom, they will be allowed to choose the seat that they want.
