Theses materials from Pitsco, AndyMark, and other suppliers will greatly impact my students learning. They will provide my students with the tools and supplies that they need to reach their goal of creating a competition worthy robot. As my students build this robot together, they will gain life-long skills that will positively impact them in any career field, but especially the STEM career fields. These tools will allow them to build together helping them learn how to work cooperatively as a team. As a team, they will learn how to delegate tasks, develop clear communication skills, plan a multi-step project, and develop SMART goals. As for STEM skills, this will improve and expand the learning of my students by providing them with an hands-on opportunity to explore STEM skills beyond their regular science and math high school classes. Through building this robot together, they will learn about engineering, computer programming, wiring electronics, problem-solving through trial and error, and improve their spacial awareness.
