In the morning many of my students are tired and easily fall asleep in a regular sitting desk. By the end of the day, many students feel like they are jumping out of their skin and sitting at a desk is a big challenge. I want to pilot the stand up desk to see if we can't make it a better environment for students.
Stand up desks increase student focus, engagement and productivity in class. Individual students will use the desks as an alternate seating choice. These desks will also be used for students to collaborate on partner work assignments.
