My 26 students come from diverse backgrounds. Many speak English as a second language and come from low-income homes. The students are eager to learn and value their time spent at school. The Early Development Index has shown that students in La Habra come to school less prepared than anywhere else in the county. The students are eager to learn and value school and their classroom environment. This is my second year teaching at this school, in this classroom, due to a successful reconfiguration by the district to support families.
