For students who have struggled in a traditional classroom, our school strives to make ALLPS different from any other school they've been to. However, we are limited to what is available in the building. This doesn't offer a lot of flexible options, without being at the expense of the teacher.
I work closely with our students 1:1 and these items would allow a more seamless interaction as well as provide resources needed to create tools for the teachers I also support in our school. My position is new to the district and thus looks different for each school and in my building, it often changes to cater to students’ needs at that point in time. This ranges from intervention to accelerated learning, counseling & SEL, to college and career opportunities.
