First grade is arguably the most important grade in elementary school. In first grade, students begin to read fluently, write for different purposes, move beyond foundational skills in math, and focus on social emotional learning. Teaching first grade is a duty I don't take lightly- I want my students to grow and learn as much as possible in this crucial year!
