The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will help provide some sensory strategies for those students currently having difficulties regulating their sensory systems. I am requesting items such as a weighted lap pad to help provide input when needed. I am also requesting an iPad to help play soothing music, videos, and to be able to use some programs that also target sensory calming or sensory alerting strategies. By helping these students regulate their sensory systems, they can be better able to access information presented to them using a variety of methods by their teachers, para-professionals and/or therapists. By donating to this project, you too can help these students with disabilities access their education alongside their peers more effectively.
