Both the fiction and nonfiction texts I have selected will expose my students to a variety of texts! Students will have the opportunity to utilize these texts during independent, self-selected reading time on a daily basis.
Exposing my readers to great texts will encourage a passion for life-long reading! All students in my fifth grade classes will benefit from the texts and exposure to rich vocabulary and engaging stories. These books will bring more life to our classroom and encourage all levels of readers.
Reading is and always will be a priority in our classroom and school. My hope is that students are able to find a book on my shelf that makes them excited to explore reading. One of these books just might be the door to a life filled with millions of books!
