The games that I have chosen for my math class will target a wide variety of abilities. The games are engaging and focus on problem solving which is a challenge in our world today. The internet and technology can wonderful resources, however they can often take away from problem solving and making one "think" outside of the box for solutions. Games are a FUN way to learn, problem solve, and persevere with highly engaging tasks for everyone. The games will be used for a variety of purposes such as indoor recess, early finishers, and homework options for families. I will introduce the games one at a time to each class so that students can use the Common Core Math Practices for problem solving, discussions, collaboration, and justification. As the games are introduced will focus on the objectives of each game. The first objective of course is to have FUN and then the more specific objectives as each game fits.
