In recent years, especially during the pandemic, students have turned to notetaking digitally. Many students have even stopped notetaking altogether and rely solely on the digital notes or presentations posted by their teachers. Research shows; however, that writing by hand activates the brain and moves information from short-term to long-term storage. As a result, students are able to improve their learning, building a stronger conceptual understanding of concepts being taught. I can assist my students in deepening their learning by having them take notes using a Rocketbook. Since I teach science, the Rocketbook is also a great tool to show that you can take handwritten notes and not waste paper, as Rocketbooks are sustainable notebooks that can be reused. Students will not have to fear about erasing their notes each day, as the Rocketbook technology allows students to digitally send their notes from their book itself to their computer.
