My students love to read! They love when we sit on the rug and I read aloud to them, it gives them the opportunity to develop listening and speaking skills. They get so excited when they hear a new book, but given the lack of resources, books are limited in both English and Spanish. These children need the essential tools to learn, in this case, a library with books.
By providing them with additional books and a place to call a "library", it will encourage the students to read more often at school and at​ home. This Donors Choose project will help provide leveled books so my students can read independently, develop reading skills, and become life long readers.
