Students benefit from educational resources that help them learn and grow. Children at the Pre-K level are developing vocabulary, and having manipulatives will make learning interesting, as well as fun, for them. My students love to listen to stories. They especially love bringing them to life through the use of puppets and felt board pieces. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Felt Set, Itsy Bitsy Spider Storytelling Puppets, Community Helpers Felt Set, and Trucks, Trains, and Planes Pre-cut Felt Set will give my students the opportunity to reenact familiar stories on their own, which will help boost their confidence and develop their vocabulary. The Alphabet Mystery Box and Alpha-bots will help my students with learning letter names and phonological awareness, while the Number-bots will help my students with counting and recognizing numbers. The Mystery Box and Touch and Match Guessing Game will be a fun and interactive way for my students to increase their English as they try to guess what the object in the box is. The Writing Claws will be useful in increasing my student's dexterity and fine motor skills as they learn correct pencil grip. The Super-Safe Eyedroppers, Watch It Rain Discovery Cloud, Natural Tree Rings, and Build & Play Magnetic Animals will increase their Scientific awareness, as they develop their vocabulary. Teaching in a low income area with Pre-K students who have little to no English is very challenging and rewarding at the same time. At this level, most learning is done through play, so these will be great additions to the classroom centers. Having these literacy based items in the classroom will enhance the vocabulary of my students, which will, in turn, boost their confidence. I thank you in advance for any help you can give us.
