The use of a circle time rug is used daily in my classroom. We use it for math, literacy, writing and sharing. Using the workshop model, students come to the rug for practice in all subject areas and with learning new strategies. It's important for students to have a warm, clean place to come where everyone knows their spot. The letters on the rug also help students to learn letter sounds and letter names. Circle time on the rug is helps us to learn about each other, work on our listening skills and engage in lots of learning. This project will help children to feel safe and cozy while learning!
