My students are in high school, grades 9-12. They are special education students who are identified as emotionally disturbed (non-aggressive). My students have had their share of downfalls and although its been tough for them, it is very inspiring to see them come to school everyday. They have hope. They continue to work towards their high school diploma.
When I first walked into the small bungalow; which is located on a hillside, I noticed it is bare. I also noticed that the students wished to walk in and "feel as if you are walking into an actual science classroom". Our picture posted was taken by one my students and it is posted in our class. It is a red tail falcon; my students named it the Phoenix. I asked them why that name? They all agreed it was the perfect name because it represented them. My students are smart. They have hopes and dreams, and they inspire me everyday.
