I am asking for five iPads to help me bridge the achievement gap in my kindergarten class by providing individualized learning activities to meet each child’s needs. Providing leveled work based on each child’s specific abilities is not always easy. With iPads I will be able to design advanced or remedial lessons based on each child’s talents.
A child can work on alphabet/number recognition, practice sounding out words, practice independent reading, or practice addition/subtraction. This will give children much more support in the areas where they either excel or need additional support. During math periods students will be assigned to math programs that enhance the concepts we are working on in class.
Basically, I will be able to assign specific skills to either support or enrich each child so they can further their understanding of all skills that are taught.
