My 25 kindergarteners are 4, 5 or 6 years old and live in Northern California. There are 8 English language learners, 3 students repeating kindergarten and most students have two working parents. The students are technologically advanced, far more comfortable with computers, Ipods and Itouches than with paper and pencils. My students enjoy listening to stories, books and music, and learn well with repetition and practice. My students don't know a world without high functioning computers, and find it frustrating when technology does not work as well as they expect. Our school is diving into the world of technology in order to reach all of our 21st century learners. "Chevron Classroom Challenge"
