A classroom rug will not only add warmth and color to my classroom it will give each of my 22 students a personal spot to sit. We use the rug throughout our school day for morning meeting, read alouds, whole group instruction , mini lessons and movement activities. Students are often able to concentrate and focus better if they have their own personal spot to sit on. The rug will also offer alternative seating arrangements for students who need varied learning environments. A classroom rug creates a classroom space where children can play, share, discover and community build with classmates.
