Welcome to our vibrant STEM classroom in Atlanta, where curiosity and creativity fuel learning! I teach an incredible group of students at a STEM-focused school, where hands-on exploration and innovation take center stage. Our student body is primarily African American, with a growing number of Hispanic students, and many come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Despite financial challenges, they bring enthusiasm, resilience, and a deep desire to learn.
Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, my students develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills that prepare them for careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. However, limited funding means we often lack essential materials and technology.
