"Wobble cushions" allow students to sit on the carpet with their peers and wiggle around and move as much as they need to. The cushions are inflated and made of a quiet rubber material, allowing the students to "wobble" around without making noise or disturbing the other students' learning. The floor chairs also offer a different form of sitting for the students whose hips and joints are still forming and may find it uncomfortable to sit on the carpet. These types of flexible seating allow the students a choice in how they sit and provide a learning space catered to each type of learner.
Your help in fostering a flexible learning space for these diverse learners will influence these children and their outlook on learning for the rest of their lives. Many of these students come from low-income households and going to school is the best part of their day. I want to encourage those feelings about education and give the children an environment they look forward to coming to and learning in. Thank you for your help and consideration!
