These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading both fiction and non-fiction. Researchers have been posing questions about print vs. digital reading, including one scholar who has considered what happens when students read a story in print or on a digital device and are then asked to reconstruct the plot sequence. The answer: Print yielded better results. While I recognize the need for digital literacy and include many opportunities to that end in my classroom, I still prefer my students to read in print. These books will provide this opportunity.
