I hope to create a welcoming, collaborative and warm classroom environment. Fluorescent lights are harsh to be under all day! With lamps, students are able to focus in a calming, warm environment. An easel is essential to brainstorming as a class and the large papers can save those ideas to be displayed on the walls! Markers will help create beautiful anchor charts as well. A calendar is essential to every classroom, and the students can enjoy the colors and readability of the calendar created by another teacher. Whiteboards, erasers and markers are necessary in order to create interactive lessons in which students can show what they know with immediate feedback. I will provide a safe, collaborative learning environment that encourages each student to use their whole brains and learn fluidly and excitedly!
