I teach at two different schools and touch all grades k-5 in both schools. I love to have my students do projects and work together to use technology that is not always readily available.
My schools have limited numbers of laptops, tablets, and technology accessibility in general.
Both schools are high poverty and students rarely have access to technology at home.
I want to make their school experience as technologically adequate as possible as these skills are a necessity in today's world. It is part of our responsibility to expose our students to these tools and have them effectively use and communicate using these devices.
Our students must be prepared to utilize and communicate in our fast paced, technology heavy society. Testing is always computer based for students in grades 3-5 and beyond but our students in grades k-2 often have less exposure which causes a tremendous divide. I want help with this.
