Each of my 25 students are unique in their own way. Some of which are students with exceptionalities and some simply struggle with attention and constant wiggles. Thus, my students would greatly benefit from flexible seating in our classroom. As a first year teacher with a fresh outlook on education, I believe students would be more likely to strive academically if they were able to move and wiggle at their tables throughout the school day with various flexible seating options, such as: ball chairs, wobble stools, and wiggle cushions. Students should be able to have a choice of what helps them learn better in the classroom environment, and flexible seating options can do just that. Students all deserve choice and responsibility for their education, and the choice to learn with multiple modalities is an important factor in a child's education.
