I have a few students who are extremely active. This puts them at a disadvantage with traditional seating options. They tend to lean either frontward or backward regularly which is dangerous when they lose their balance and fall. No matter how much they try, many never get control of this situation. I borrowed a couple of these stools from a colleague for a couple of days, and the results were amazing. Students were able to wiggle and move around without being in danger. Two students doubled the amount of time they were able to stay on task when given the chair over a two day period. My colleague told me that when her students who struggle with ADHD sit on these chairs, they perform better and behavior issues are reduced. This is a win/win for everyone in the classroom.
