A button maker at Hawthorne Academy will allow staff to acknowledge the accomplishments of our scholars and allow students to advocate their passions.
"I made the A-B Honor Roll!" buttons will applaud academic excellence and "Digital Citizenship" buttons reward those who have successfully completed online coursework and earned their Digital Citizenship badges. "I survived the Graduation Project" buttons will salute seniors at the culmination of their two-year research and service learning endeavors.
Unity Club members will create "Mix It Up" buttons to acknowledge students who participate in the official Mix-It-Up at Lunch Day by identifying, questioning and crossing social boundaries in the school cafeteria. Members of the Gay Straight Alliance will create "Day of Silence" buttons to identify those who take a vow of silence to highlight the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ people at school.
These are just a few examples of how Hawthorne Academy will put a button maker to good use but the possibilities are endless... And the circle graphic punch will enable us to do so with finesse and speed!
