Students come to class ready to learn but all too often lacking the necessary supplies. These materials, such as the bucket system, will make it possible for us as a class to focus on the learning and not worry about the minute details such as finding a pencil, it will be there ready to go on their desks. These materials will also provide students with motivational rewards for a job well done. Through motivators such as the ticket system, personalized calligraphy notes to students, the cupcake chart, and the dot/start sticker system, students will be encouraged to continue their hard work and even take it a step further.
This project will allow students to see and recognize that through hard work and proactive management, rewards will abound not only through positive reinforcement but also within their education. One of my favorite strategies from here are the cupcake chart that I will be making with the use of these materials, where students can earn a cupcake party as a class for being on task. Another one of my favorites from this list is the bucket system because it allows us to stay on task without being distracted by someone needing to sharpen a pencil, everything the student possibly needs is right there in front of them, contributing to the success of the students.
