I believe adding colored material to the students' work helps to engage their learning with visual aids. They can color the material but often their focus is on coloring and not the activity I need them to complete. Students will be able to take home the books we use in class for letter matching and sound cards. When we use it for Math it helps differentiate the yellow and red counters and the cube trains we use for Math manipulatives.
Having materials we use in school and at home for students build confidence in their ability to read. Students have the ability to clarify and understand the information to build a strong foundation.

About my class
