Recess is such an important time for students. It keeps them active, gets their minds going, and helps with socialization. Where I teach, we have a lot of indoor recess due to the weather. It's important to keep the kids doing activities and not have them just sitting around. Also, making sure that the students are busy keeps from having behavior problems.
Puzzles and games are a great option for indoor recess! By having these resources in my classroom, the students will be able to build on their abilities to work together, learn social behaviors, and also have fun. I like to use educational games in my room so they are also learning and seeing that learning can be fun.
