We use speakers to watch and listen to videos to engage my middle school learners. We watch all types of videos and narratives.
One of my student's favorites this year was narratives by enslaved peoples who talked about their experiences. Wow, what an eye-opener! Another awesome experience was watching battle reenactments for my 6th graders when we studied the Revolutionary War.
We use the headphones for listening stations where they listen to history podcasts and create our own videos. I need differentiated instruction for my inclusion students and having the ability for them to listen to text that others are able to read is invaluable.
