My students are located in a small town in rural Michigan. They come from a close-knit community where everybody knows everybody else. I am the only 4th grade teacher in the town, so every student in this community comes through my door. I have been around long enough to now start having second generation students, which is small town pride at its finest. We are a low-income school with 50% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. I am proud to have lived and worked in this district for the past 17 years.
