Learning centers are beneficial in so many ways. Centers allow children to manipulate materials, explore ideas, and empower them to navigate their learning on their own, at their own speed, and in diverse groups.
Well-chosen learning centers give students an opportunity to make decisions and choose the timing of their learning. Centers allow for differentiation and accommodate students' different learning styles. And not only that, centers are fun!
Personal whiteboards, language activity sets, and math activity sets will encourage and motivate my students during math and literacy rotations. With these new materials, I will be able to address specific needs during small groups, while students are engaged with meaningful activities on their own.
