This mixture of fiction and non-fiction diverse literature will increase my students' interest in reading. It will also help them become more fluent, as promoted by NACS RF.5.4, RL.5.10, RI.5.10, and RF.5.3.
Providing culturally diverse reading materials and flexible seating will continue to foster my students' love of reading. It will cause students to see themselves in some of the characters in the literature and open their world to different cultures and new ideas.
I am seeking to create an environment where students will be motivated and excited about reading.
