The materials I have chosen will help alleviate some of the costs associated with going to college for my students. My students come from a low-income background where many will be first-generation college students. Most of my students do not own laptops and because of their financial status will not be able to afford one. Having their own personal laptop will make doing their coursework easier for them since they will not have to worry about finding access to computers. Although the TVs are not a necessity, they will provide a respite for the students in the comfort of their dorm.
By donating to this project, you will help my students receive supplies that will help them be successful in their college career.
Since many of the students are low income, this will help alleviate the cost of school supplies and allow them to focus on the cost of attending college itself. These prizes, along with others I will provide, will be raffled off during our school's National Decision Day celebration in May.
