Some of my students are still being served at home and books will be presented to them virtually. These books will be used to promote good and functional communication and to show my students of color that they can be anything they want to be as well as the author that writes the books they are reading.
We see a lot of things on TV and in print that represent people and things that do not look like the children that we serve on a daily basis in the inner city schools we service. They will love to see things and people that look like them to encourage them to be greater.
