We are at a K-12 school in rural Montana with approximately 280 students. Though our school is small, our students are fortunate to have many opportunities to support education and achievement.
Being residents of a high poverty town, many of our students turn to the school as a source of assistance to meet basic needs. Currently, we provide free breakfast and lunch to all students as the poverty level is so high that we qualify for this support. In addition, ALL of our students qualify to receive TITLE ONE educational support services to enrich or enhance their learning curricula. Moreover, our school district provides after school programs that allow students to have an after school snack and stay at school until 5:00pm each school day. With that, meals packages are provided to students in need on Fridays to ensure families have meals to eat over the weekend.
