It is my desire for my students to gain access to technology by having a computer learning station in my classroom. My students currently have access to computers less than once a week for 40 minutes. In order for my students to gain proficiency in using a computer, they must have more time to use computers. Having a computer learning station in my classroom will give my students daily access to technology! The laptops I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, the tables, power strips, head phones, mice, Ethernet cables, and Ethernet hub are all positioned, secured and waiting for the missing pieces...laptops. By donating to our project, you will give my students access to technology and ultimately help increase their academic achievement. A computer learning station will give my students an opportunity to learn mouse and typing skills. Students will have access to computer based lessons in math, reading, and language arts. I want my students to have the necessary tools to help them be successful.
