I teach 170 beginners just moving to the United States with little or no income. Having come from all over the world with different cultures and languages, I need to bring out their talents by making them draw, or cut and paste. However, without enough basic supplies like colored pencils, markers, sharpeners, rulers, composition notebooks, erasers, and glue sticks, it is very challenging.
Giving students the opportunity to explore their creativity by supplying these basic needs is my number one goal.
The products that I have selected will help my students by providing the basic needs for effective learning. I will put all these materials in Boxes I have bought from Walmart to be readily available to students when they are working in my classroom.
I can give them choices to draw and explain when they are confused so they can feel successful.
My classroom is also language-rich, so I will make posters with sentences for them to use in their writing.
I want my ELL's to be more successful in writing and reading, without the stress of bringing their own supplies.
I have seen the boxes I brought have positively affected my student's work and hope that the additional supplies I receive will help us grow even more!
