I would love for my English New Language Prek learners/ students to benefit from the use of tablets to enrich vocabulary, facilitate comprehension with interactive websites that would strengthen their English language skills while having fun! There are so many beneficial interactive educational applications, games and websites that would encourage and motivate students to learn English, new vocabulary, concepts in Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies and the arts in an intriguing way. The children would use these tablets during the center time which we have twice a day. Each child would have the opportunity to choose from several games the incorporate language while covering our units of study in Pre-K. The students will get individual interaction with the tablets which will reinforce and develop their receptive and expressive language skills. Tablets will motivate them to want to use them and they will learn so much! I can use sites like Starfall, Building Blocks, Curious World, Brain Pop, National Geographic, and ABC world . These interactive sites can prepare them for the rigorous work they will be doing in kindergarten.
