This request for tools will better equip the VPS shop classes so students do not have to be concerned about lack of equipment to build their projects. Band saw blades dull rapidly and the school's shop budget does not enable replacement of the blades at the rate they are used. This is the saw primarily used for grades 7 through 12 to cut numerous wood projects. Currently students have to share tape measures which delays their work on projects. Additional tape measures would benefit all Industrial Tech classes. Batteries for cordless drills wear out although the drills still work. Additional batteries for these drills mean more drills for students to use as well as drills available throughout the day without waiting for batteries to recharge. Pliers are used in both Auto Maintenance and Small Engine classes for repair work.
