I currently do not have daily access to technology for my students. This project will allow my students daily access to four Chromebooks in order to utilize programs that will help them reach academic goals and proficiency in English Language Arts. The students in my classroom have a wide range of ability, and this technology will assist me in delivering individualized instruction. This will help close reading achievement gaps among the minority students I serve.
Some of the programs that will be used are NewsELA, iReady, K-12 Reader, ReadWorks, READTHEORY, and Google Classrooms. This project will allow me to be more effective in the classroom and help my students achieve maximum academic growth potential.
