The children in our classroom really seem to enjoy playing in our Dramatic Play area each and every day. Sadly, however, our furniture, props and dress-up clothes have seen better days. For example, we are currently using a repurposed science table and four mismatched plastic chairs. My teaching partner and I have added a table runner and placemats to make it more aesthetically pleasing, but I cannot help thinking how much the children would love to have a matching kitchen set! I am also requesting a Community Helper set for the children to encourage them to assume adult roles and sustain cooperative play.
