Having access to a washer and dryer will give students the chance to learn a life skill that will help with their independence. It will allow students who may not be able to wash at home the opportunity to have clean clothes so that they are more like their peers. These students will also be more prepared to take care of their own families needs one day. I believe that being able to feel clean and smell fresh will help boost the self esteem of students who are sometimes stigmatized by others and make high school a more enjoyable experience.

About my class
