My students enjoy our current listening center but they often get tangled and because the majority of the students have little experience with headphones they tend to play with the volume of other students headphones. Students also have a hard time staying put for the duration of a short story so we often have to take time to untangle the headphones for the next group to be able to enjoy the listening center.
The wireless headphones will promote independent volume control and the transitions from one group to another will run a lot smoother during our centers.
My students have been using draw and write journals but due to the quality of the journals I previous purchased they will not be able to make it another semester. The composition books I have ordered will ensure students will continue to develop their drawing and writing skills. I am very proud of how much they have shown improvement in just one semester and cannot wait to see their growth at the end of the school year. This is at least the fourth year in which my kindergarten students have used primary composition books on a daily basis and they are essential to our writing curriculum.
