My students often do not have the supplies needed for learning at home, and I supply what they need at school because their parents really just can not. I supply my students with everything they need in the classroom so that there is no shame or anxiety over not having what everybody else has. With the struggles of making sure my virtual students also had all the supplies they would need to learn last year., my supply stocks are depleted. When the pandemic hit, and our school shut down quickly it was made abundantly clear that many of my students did not have supplies at home. As we continued to learn at home I supplied what I could, so that they could be successful. I want to start this year by giving each of my students a pack of supplies for in the classroom, as well as as at home so that they have what they need no matter where we are required to work.
By helping my students have the needed supplies at home and in the classroom we can make it easier for them to start their education journey off on the right foot.
